One of the important roles of a coach is to ensure your clients are celebrating their successes.

The first tenet in Ken Blanchard’s seminal work ‘The One Minute Manager’ is Catch People Doing Things Right – And Tell Them!  This promotes that positive, can-do attitude extolled by Positive Psychologists – boosting motivation, highlighting goal achievement and increasing the likelihood that you clients will do more of the same.

The Coach Directory

I am extremely proud of the brand new Coach Directory (www.coach-search.co.uk) launched at the beginning of 2014.  What better way for a coach to grow their coaching business than to piggy-back on the established brand of The Coaching Academy and tap into over 500,000 visitors to our website each year – many of whom are looking to find a coach for themselves.  Simply create a profile, select your niche area, complete your coaching bio with relevant key words and sit back and wait for your prospective clients to find you.

The Advanced Coach Programme

We were often asked what the next step for the qualified coach might be in terms of their learning and development – now the answer is clear.  This 8 week programme launched in 2014 allows the professional, qualified coach to increase their skill and over the 2 live training days learn the fundamental psychological theory that underpins all coaching – plus benefit from the range of advanced coaching competency tutorials.  The ACP provides a purposeful next step for the qualified coach’s on-going CPD journey – plus it was awarded ICF accreditation as part of their Continuing Coach Education (CCE) hours.

The Coaching Academy Taster Days

We were also pleased to announce the introduction of our series of Coaching Taster Days – giving those interested in finding out more about Business Coaching and NLP the opportunity to come to a full day of training to help them identify the potential that additional skills and qualifications in these areas may bring.  Keep your eye on the course dates in 2015 for more of the same!

The Coaching Refresher Workshop

Perfect for the lapsed or long-time qualified coach, this one-day Coaching Refresher Workshop covers all of the key coaching competencies – if you like, it is as if all of the key Life Coaching Diploma Diploma Accelerator days were rolled into one.  What better way to reignite, reinspire and refresh your motivation and your coaching skills.

Coaching Workshop Trainer Programme & DISC Corporate Trainer Programme

2014 also saw the introduction of 2 new ‘Train the Trainer’ Programmes in which we taught a group of select individuals how to deliver a tried and tested and proved presentation that The Coaching Academy had designed.  With the Coaching Workshop Trainer Programme we teach you how to market and deliver a one-day Introduction to Coaching Skills workshop and then maximise the potential investment in the room; whilst with the DISC Corporate Trainer Programme we teach you how to market and deliver a one-day Introduction to DISC Personality Profiling to the Corporate/Business market and then increase the likelihood that your delegates will subsequently  hire your professional services.

Practically Perfect Presenting Programme

A welcome addition to The Coaching Academy portfolio of stand-alone live training events – PPP gives you an opportunity to learn from an expert some of the tips and tricks of the trade when standing up in front of a room of people.  Everything from working on your confidence to the best flip chart pens to use!  This workshop went down amazingly well and was sold out within a very short period of time – so we plan to run this event again at the beginning of 2015.  Watch this space!

Group Mentoring Webinars

A fantastic addition to the Webinar series, the Group Mentoring sessions give you an opportunity to share your successes, talk through your challenges and pick the brains of your peers in a safe and confidential online environment.  Each month, these Group Mentoring Webinars focus on a specific subject, giving you an opportunity to learn from each other and offering peace of mind, knowing that there are others in the same boat, experiencing the same things with their clients as you.  Check out the Webinar Agenda in the Members’ Area Resources Library to find out when the next one is.

So I hope you’ll agree that there are plenty of options for you to consider as part of your on-going CPD, plus plenty of additional resources to help support you not only as a student of The Coaching Academy but also as a professional coach, perhaps looking at starting a full or a part-time coaching business.

Please don’t think we are going to rest on our laurels next year.  We wouldn’t even dream of it.
