And Life Coach of the Year 2015 is... Carolyne Crowe!

The night we had all been waiting for finally arrived and the first ever International Coaching Academy Awards Ceremony 2015 has now drawn to a close. On Saturday 5th December 2015 the red carpet was rolled out at Latimer Place as Coaches, Trainers, Bev James CEO of The Coaching Academy, The Coaching Academy team, Judges, and Representatives from The Dames Kelly Holmes Trust all gathered to celebrate the success of the top Coaches in the industry.

The night we had all been waiting for finally arrived and the first ever International Coaching Academy Awards Ceremony 2015 has now drawn to a close. On Saturday 5th December 2015 the red carpet was rolled out at Latimer Place as Coaches, Trainers, Bev James CEO of The Coaching Academy, The Coaching Academy team, Judges, and Representatives from The Dames Kelly Holmes Trust all gathered to celebrate the success of the top Coaches in the industry.



Guests were greeted with a glass of champagne before taking a walk on the red carpet to enter the dazzling Cormorant suite. Dinner was served and after the nominees, coaches, judges, trainers and Coaching Academy team had time to catch up and dine in style it was time for the main event.

Host of the evening Director of Operations, Kris Robertson kicked off the event delighting attendees with his fun and light-hearted hosting, putting the nervous nominees at ease. Introduced to the stage to announce the winner of The Youth Coach of the Year 2015 award was Claire Bennett, former GB Fencing international commonwealth Gold Medallist and Athlete Manager at The Dames Kelly Holmes Trust. Shortlisters for this award were Hugh Smith and Mark Anderson who have both been doing fantastic work transforming the lives of the youths they have worked with.


 
Welcomed to the stage next was Coaching Academy Trainer and Confidence Coach Pam Lidford. Pam introduced the nominees for ‘The Parent Coach of the Year Award 2015’ Sharon Lawton and Nina Farr who both dedicate their lives to working with parents to enhance communication, reignite their passion and help to achieve a life balance. Presented the award and claiming title as ‘Parent Coach of the Year 2015’ was Sharon Lawton.



Presenting the next award ‘NLP Coach of the year 2015’ was Coaching Academy Trainer and NLP Master, Sarah Urquhart. Shortlisted for this award were Elizabeth Ryan and Faye Lowe who have both been doing incredible work within their equestrian and ice-skating niches, assisting people in overcoming challenges and instilling confidence to pursue their passions. Taking the title as ‘NLP Coach of the Year’ was Elizabeth Ryan.



Presenting the next award was The Coaching Academy’s Steve Fox. Steve introduced the nominees for ‘The Executive Coach of the Year Award 2015. Nominees Julie Hutchison and Chris Brown have both been doing fantastic work in the corporate arena assisting organisations in engineering and the NHS with effective business planning and company goals. Winner of this award was Julie Hutchison.

Coaching Academy Course manager and Coach Merete Langler was welcomed to the stage next to present ‘The Small Business of the Year Award 2015’. She announced the shortlisters for the award, Nancy Radford and Tina Dulieu who are both dedicated to working with small businesses and start-ups and have been assisting them on their journey to creating a sustainable business. Winner of the award for her wonderful work as a Small Business Coach was Tina Dulieu.


 
The next award ‘Best Newcomer of The Year 2015’ was presented by The Coaching Academy’s, Director of Operations, Kris Robertson. Shortlisted for this award were Lee Newitt who coaches in the education and NHS sector and Rita Chowdhry who coaches within corporate, education and public services. They have both been making waves in the industry in a short time since qualifying with The Coaching Academy. The award was presented to Rita Chowdhry.



Introducing the International Coach of the Year 2015 award was The Coaching Academy’s Mariya Draganova. Shortlisted for the award was Dominika Miernik who is currently relocating to Italy and specialises in career and expat coaching & Lynne Walder who is based in New Zealand and specialises in mindfulness and emotional intelligence coaching. Both have been doing fantastic coaching work across the globe. Winner of ‘International Coach of the Year 2015’ was Dominika Miernik.



Presenting the Coaching for a Cause Award 2015 was Great Britain Badminton athlete Liz Cann who works with The Dames Kelly Holmes Trust. Shortlisted for this award were both Danny West who coaches people living with disabilities and long term health conditions including HIV and Christopher Catt who coaches employees, managers and entrepreneurs with long term health conditions and disabilities. They both work tirelessly to give back to the community and better the lives of others. The Coaching for a Cause Award 2015 was presented to Christopher Catt.


To present the final award of the night was CEO of The Coaching Academy, Bev James. Bev provided the audience with an inspirational speech that reminded us all to celebrate our podium moments of success, to share our talents as coaches and to acknowledge our achievements. Shortlisted for ‘The Life Coach of the Year Award 2015’ were Brian Tregunna and Carolyne Crowe. Brian coaches those with mental health issues and military veterans and Carolyne coaches those within the Veterinary sector. Both work hard to help individuals overcome personal and professional challenges that they face on a daily basis. The award was presented to Carolyne Crowe who claimed the title as ‘Life Coach of the Year 2015’.



After the awards ceremony, Broadway star Ryan Molloy and the Jersettes took the crowd back in time and entertained the audience with spectacular singing and classic hits from his New Jersey songbook. Ending the evening in good spirits, guests sang, danced and got merry as they celebrated The International Coaching Awards ceremony 2015.



The event was a big success and we are very proud of everyone who was nominated for an award. We would like extend our appreciation and thank you to all those who attended the evening and were part of a truly special celebration.
