Neuroscience, the scientific study of the nervous system, is an area of science that is uncovering important findings year after year. Given how our brains and nervous system directly affect thoughts, feelings and behaviour, coaches benefit from a good understanding of some key elements of neuroscience to improve their effectiveness.
This session will provide coaches with an overview of what neuroscience is and will share some useful insights and tools. Learn how knowledge and understanding of the relevant elements of neuroscience, when combined with a coaching approach, can have a positive impact on motivation, goal setting and action planning
About your trainer
Lisa Read is an award-winning coach and qualified teacher with 15 years of experience in learning and education. She has led a successful coaching practice since 2006 and is a qualified DISC personality profiler and HeartMath mentor. Lisa is co-founder of Real Clear, a coaching and training company that works with socially-minded organisations, specialising in leadership programmes, resilience and mental toughness. She is also the leader of Sheffield Coaching Exchange - a continuing professional development group for coaching professionals and a master member of the EMCC.
This session is part of our Continual Professional Development (CPD) for Coaches Programme. This training is aimed towards those wishing to advance their coaching knowledge and therefore you will need to have previously engaged in foundational coach training.
