I went along to the 2 day Coaching Academy course as I had been offered voluntary redundancy and hoped the course would help me in my personal decision making. In the event it did much more than that. I saw that here was an opportunity to develop my coaching skills and turn my passion into a new career.

The Coaching Academy struck me as a respectable organisation and the 2 day free certificate course seemed too good to miss. Following my two days in London I realised that coaching was the career I wanted to follow and within days had signed my measly redundancy payout to the Coaching Academy and signed up to the Personal Performance Diploma. From that day in February 2011 I haven’t looked back and forged ahead with the course which I thought was exceptional.

Lucy has been struggling with a poor self-image for the past six years. She felt unattractive and strongly believed that men didn’t find her sexy. She had a successful career as a management consultant but could not stop feeling bad about herself. Through our sessions, I discovered that Lucy had a younger sister. The question is; how do you know if you’ve chosen the right niche? I have some experience I would like to share with you about the pain of choosing the wrong niche and my path to finding the right one. As far back as the year 2004, my work as a Marketing Manager at the multinational was overcoming me. I was completely overwhelmed even though everyday I was leaving the office late in the evening and working long hours. I never had the time to delegate, I spent the days running from meeting to meeting, and I could seldom be with my children. For my birthday, my wife gave me a very special present: coaching sessions.
