2. Why is this course different to other courses available and why does it work so effectively?
Our approach to coach training has been developed from eight years of research and development and as the originators of this type of course in the UK we have an experience which no one else can come close to.
You will notice that courses available elsewhere in the world follow the ‘live training then home study’ model. You go away for a weekend and then are left to your own devices for the remainder of the course. Although this is what we have tried in the past, it is certainly not the best approach – and we now have a far superior model developed in consultation with professional coaches and students of coaching.
The ‘live training followed by home study’ model means that you feel motivated and elated straight after the live training, but your motivation soon wanes when the realities of everyday life creep back in.

Our far superior model of layered, multi-media learning means that your motivation stays high and you are far more likely to complete the course in record time.
The course starts as soon as you register. You are given access to the password protected members area of the website and access to its online resource centre.
You then can join our international online community, with over 1000 members at any one time. Chat with other coaches on the same course and learn from the more experienced hands.
You also have access to the new Virtual Seminars – telephone conference calls where an informative and entertaining talk is delivered every fortnight right into your hand set. We’ve even recorded 25 hours worth of past Virtual Seminars for you to download to your iPod and play at your leisure.

Within a few days of registration, our courier will deliver to your house or work (your choice) a huge package of training materials.
Your living room floor will be covered with DVD’s, CD’s and manuals as you sift through the exciting array of multi-media materials. Don’t worry; you won’t be daunted as we have produced a ‘Quick Start’ for you. Just follow the clear instructions and you will know exactly what to do.
There’s a starter module which once completed means that you are ready to take your first accelerator day – the live training day which takes place in either Manchester or at Latimer House in Buckinghamshire.
This gives you a choice of our specially selected venues each month.
Be our guest during your live training
Let us know which day you would like to attend (dates at least six months ahead are on the website) and we’ll take care of the rest. Your catering and refreshments are included in the price, there is nothing else to pay.
The Programme Qualification consists of six of these days, with one running every month. They are all different, all unique, with a variety of trainers and small numbers (less than sixty people in a room designed for over 100). The interactivity and community mean that you might not want to leave at 5.30pm!
Slot the training into your busy schedule
99% of our students work full time and find no time challenge with taking a Programme qualification; in fact, the trend now is for most people to take more than one Programme course.
Because we have taken a multi-media approach, you can read the training manuals on the train, watch the DVD’s at home, participate in the telephone Virtual Seminars from the office – in fact some people even take the training material on holiday, it is that enjoyable!
People find that the live training events with us at beautiful Latimer House are a sea of tranquillity in their busy lives and all look forward to the energy boost it gives them for the coming month.
As we don’t impose a deadline on you finishing the Programme, you can plan the training around your life, rather than the other way round.
Between each day there are assignments based on the training materials sent to you. Complete the assignments, attend the training days and let one of our assessors listen to you coach a practice client on three occasions and with a little bit of coaching from us you have done all that is needed to complete your qualification.
You can listen to the Virtual Seminars, surf the message boards of the online community, attend your local Coaching Community, meet like-minded people and attend the social events we run from time to time.
When you are ready, your practical assessments and assignments are compiled and all you have to do is wait for the result.
Now, we pledge that we will work with you one on one – we will come round to your house if you want us to – to make sure that you achieve the qualification. As there is no time limit we will do everything in our power to make you successful.
It’s time to graduate!
Upon successful completion of the qualification you can attend one of our monthly graduation ceremonies and receive your certificate from a senior trainer in front of your peers (or you can receive it in the post if more convenient).
On graduation we will present you with a set of professionally printed business cards to get you started!
You will receive a beautiful graduation certificate which you can hang on your office wall with pride. |
