Accelerator Days

1. M.A.G.I.C. (Youth Coaching Programme) - with Duncan Gee

This workshop is based upon the M.A.G.I.C. coaching model:

Motivation
Assertiveness
Goal achievement
 Initiative
Confi dent communication

If you have ever wanted to coach children, or coach your own children, then this is a fantastic opportunity to learn a tried and tested course which is already endorsed by several schools and child psychologists. The programme is designed to provide a way for young people to explore their own self-development.

After the workshop you will be able to:

  • Use this structured coaching programme with young people
  • Use these skills as part of your job if you already work in some
    capacity with young people
  • Relate better to your own children and help them be more confi dent
and goal-orientated, have improved self-esteem and help them explore
    their potential.

When you coach a young person using the M.A.G.I.C. model, they benefit in the following ways:

  • By being listened to, and learning how to listen to others
  • From increased levels of motivation
  • By learning how to set goals, and break down goals into manageable
    sections
  • By recognising their potential and how to work towards it
  • From an increased awareness of assertiveness, and how to assert
    themselves confidently
  • By identifying their core values - what is most important to them
  • From understanding and learning how to use their initiative
  • By learning the importance of responding, and not reacting
  • From an increased ability to communicate effectively and with confidence
  • From an alternative source of learning and development

After this accelerator day, you will have the knowledge and framework with which to deliver this 6-Day Programme to groups of young people in order to help them in the areas above.

2. The Practicalities of Youth Coaching – with Harry Singha

The Practicalities of Youth Impact Coaching – What you need to know and do to be an ethical and effective youth impact coach
